Department of Central Management Services officials say the administration has awarded a contract to Reston, Virginia-based Maximus Incorporated.
The firm's been hired to recommend ways for the state to save $1 million next year on vehicle costs.
Last year Blagojevich demanded the state find ways to save money by reducing its 13,000-vehicle fleet. So far, the state fleet has been reduced by more than 1,700 vehicles.
Blagojevich spokeswoman Abby Ottenhoff says Maximus Incorporated's donations played no role in the firm getting the contract.
