The owner of a Honda is paying the price for that. He had just hopped out of the car when 35-year-old Anthony Moore of Rockford got in and drove away.
A Rockford police officer spotted the stolen car and followed it. As he tried to escape, Moore hit a house on Crosby Street.
He was arrested on the scene and taken to Swedes with minor injuries. No one was in the house when it was hit.
