Around 5:30 Sunday night, police were called to Mulberry and Albert Avenue for a shooting.
Police say two innocent bystanders were winged.
Twenty-one-year-old Leland Smith of Rockford suffered a minor wound to his finger. Nineteen-year-old Montrell Beasley has a graze wound to his back. Both were taken to the hospital.
Police say somebody in a car took several shots at a passing SUV. Police say they have recovered a weapon and the car, but are still trying to pinpoint suspects.
