Blagojevich Turns to Insiders, Big Donors for Campaign Cash

The governor collected more than $5 million in the last half of 2003, according to his campaign finance report filed yesterday with the State Board of Elections. He brought in more than 100 donations from out-of-state givers, and nearly $1 million came in donations of $25,000 or more.

Blagojevich's campaign finance director says the governor collected more than four million dollars at a fundraiser at Chicago's Navy Pier last July.

Kelly Glynn says the governor raised so much money because he didn't raise money earlier in the year.
