Four Plead Guilty to Illegal Central Illinois Hunting

Four Fulton County residents must each pay a 15-hundred-dollar fine for hunting illegally at a central Illinois wildlife refuge.

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service says Dennis Pollitt and Jody Rilea of Liverpool, Michael Selph of Cuba and Robert Harper of Lewistown all pleaded guilty. The four must forfeit their hunting privileges for a year, and three were told to give up their hunting equipment.

Federal prosecutors say the hunters attempted to kill whitetail deer at the Chautauqua National Wildlife Refuge in 2002.
