Ban on Beef Hurting Business?

Some items have already been taken off the menu at El Burrito Loco in Rockford.

Mad cow fears prompted the U.S. Department of Agriculture to ban high-risk beef products, such as cow intestines and brains.

Those items are key ingredients in several traditional Hispanic dishes. Customers say they'll miss their favorite menu items, but it's better to be safe than sorry.

The UDSA says there's no reason to believe the products are unsafe. The ban is just precautionary.
