It was a difficult morning for a number of Rockford residents just off North Alpine Road Wednesday.
A water main break in the early morning hours forced city crews to turn off water to about 150 to 200 families living on and around Eastridge Drive.
The rapid temperature changes from last weeks warmth to this week’s frigid cold caused the main to break. Water is gradually being restored to the residents there. Needless to say, starting a day without water is not a fun thing.
The EPA recommends residents should boil their water before drinking it for thee next 24 hours.
