The leadership of the Illinois Republican Party has wasted no time in making some changes.
The party's executive committee voted Tuesday to oust Allen Fore as executive director.
Former Executive Director Brad Goodrich says he'll serve in that role only until a new leadership team is in place.
Goodrich says interim chairman Dallas Ingemunson has asked him to evaluate the current staff and let new leadership decide if others should be fired.
Illinois Republicans are trying to find a big name to lead the party after chairman Lee Daniels resigned this week.
The House GOP leader quit after allegations surfaced that his legislative staff did campaign work on state time in 2000.
Ingemunson's appointment as interim chairman is effective only until July 26. Fore says he's not bitter and says he'll continue to help the party's campaign effort this year.
