South West Rockford Gets a New Supermarket

After nearly six years, Rockford is breaking ground on a new multi-million dollar economic expansion project on the city's west side.

It took several years of planning to bring Gray's IGA to South Main Street. With it will come with a 37,000 square foot facility.

Gray initially turned the city down when it first proposed the site several years ago. But, after seeing the possibilities their store could have on this community, Gray finally said yes.

Gray says it plans to open in March.
