For weeks county workers have been trying to settle a contract dispute. All weekend, members of AFSCME, who represents county workers stood outside River Bluff nursing home. AFSCME handed out flyers to residents' families.
Within the flyer, AFSCME workers talk about the fact that they don't want to strike. They also gave names of all the Winnebago county board members who they urge residents and their families to call. AFSCME workers worry about the care of the residents if there is a strike.
A meeting with a federal mediator is set for this Wednesday.
