A company that hopes to create up to 500 jobs in Janesville is scaling back its plans for the short term.
RecyGrow is a company that will use green technologies to grow plant life from processed recycled materials. It plans to build a production facility and greenhouses in Janesville.
Marketing officer Darren Kennedy says the company will employ about 50 people by next spring. In the short term, the company will focus on products that help restore shorelines.
Kennedy says RecyGrow is also working with state agencies to plan marketing opportunities for things like green roofs and erosion control products. But he says it will take a couple of years for RecyGrow to navigate those areas.
