UPDATE -- 65-year-old Jeannie Carlon was killed in the car accident at Route 251 and Forest Hills in Machesney Park Monday afternoon. The Janesville resident was declared dead at 5:32 p.m. The accident remains under investigation.

MACHESNEY PARK (WIFR) -- Five people were taken to the hospital after a crash at 251 and Forest Hills in Machesney Park.

Authorities tell us a the red car broadsided the PT Cruiser at about 5:00 p.m. Monday night. One of the passengers in the cruiser is in critical condition. Traffic is being diverted while police reconstructed the scene.
