Rock River Bank re-opens tomorrow as Harvard State Bank.
The Oregon-based business was shutdown last Thursday by the FDIC for taking on too much debt. About 46-hundred people banked there. Customers' accounts will now be transferred to Harvard State Bank. Those who had existing accounts at Harvard have six months to rework them to make it so all of their money remains insured. Illinois now leads the nation with 12 FDIC takeovers this year. So far there's 52 nationwide.
