Ever wonder what to do with that old TV? You don't want to keep it, but you don't want to just throw it out on the curb.

Well now you can recycle it. TVs, computers and other small electronics can be dropped off at American TV and Appliance to be recycled. Small gadgets like phones and cameras can be dropped off for free, but it does cost ten dollars for laptops and TVs bigger than 27 inches. In a way though, that ten dollars will be recycled right back into your pocket.

"We give them a $10 American Gift Card that they can use toward any purchase, and then it just keeps all of the electronics out of the landfills," says General Manager Steve Grappe.

Plus, if you buy a new TV from American and have it delivered, the company will haul away your old one for free. The recyclables will be sent to various recycling centers across the Midwest, including one in Janesville.
