Rockford Police say Thomas McFeggan was found camping in Wisconsin Thursday afternoon. The 65-year-old McFeggan had been missing since Monday when his wife, 62-year-old Carol McFeggan, was found shot in the head in their home.
Rockford Police deputy chief Greg Lindmark says McFeggan's white Chevy Cavalier was found by Vilas County Sheriff's Deputies at the Trout Lake Campground, nearly 300 miles north of Rockford. They say McFeggan was found to be in possession of a handgun and faces weapons charges in Wisconsin before he can be extradited to Rockford where he will face first-degree murder charges.
