A Whiteside County resident was sentenced for producing and distributing the drug methamphetamine.
Thirty-five-year-old Tracy Shipman pleaded guilty Dec. 4 to conspiring with two others to manufacture the illegal drug. Shipman is sentenced to more than 20 years in prison without parole. Shipman admitted that they conspired to produce a total of 139 grams of the drug Shipmans. Accomplices, 34-year-old Michael White was sentenced in August to more than six years in prison without parole and 55-year-old Larry Branson, also involved in the conspiracy, is yet to be sentenced.
Meth is made in an extremely dangerous chemical environment, and is very addictive.
