The heat didn't stop all these people from coming to Davis Park Wednesday evening.
As many as 2,000 people came armed with signs, protesting what could be millions of dollars in cuts for at least two dozen Stateline agencies.
The people here are representatives from agencies as well as families that could be impacted by these cuts.
Agency leaders say they'd lose 50 percent of their funding under the current state budget plan.
We talked with a leader from a group that works with abused and neglected kids in Winnebago County.
She's expecting bigger case loads and less attention to kids if these cuts go through.
"It would be us seeing 50 kids a month, maybe once just to see if they're alive to be quite honest," said Sara Hoecherl of Lutheran Social Services of Illinois.
People we spoke with at the rally also expressed frustration about legislators in Springfield leaving for a week without addressing their concerns.
The program mainly featured agency 'reps' and families impacted by these cuts.
This is the second rally in the Stateline in the past two weeks.

We should all ask all of our state lawmakers and representatives to take a pay cut to help our state with the budget problems.
