Farmers need to keep an eye on the chemicals they use in their fields. Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan says the harvest is prime time for thieves looking to steal an-hydrous ammonia, a key ingredient in the drug methamphetamine.

The state suggests farmers keep the chemical within view and inspect their holding tanks daily for theft or tampering. If farmers find evidence of theft they should report it immediately.

23 News went out with the Ogle County sheriffs department and a drug enforcement agent and busted a meth lab near Mt. Morris. After a thorough search of the property the DEA found what they were ultimately looking for. A tip discovered this lab.

Fifty-two-year-old Ricky Dolth was arrested at this make shift lab for unlawful manufacturing of a chemical substance.
