ROCKTON - Stephen Mack Middle School is rewarded for helping show that the sky is the limit for RAMP. The Rockton middle school received an award from RAMP for helping the group raise more than seven-hundred dollars for its 21st Annual Rockford Wheel-A-Thon.

Sixth-grader Jacob Mercer spearheaded the fundraiser by informing and pumping up students about the event. He even donated his babysitting money, organized a lemonade sale and sold snow cones to raise money for the wheelchair race.

In addition to the award, RAMP will throw a pizza party for students who helped with the event.
