CHICAGO (AP) -- A new poll shows Governor Rod Blagojevich with a 16-point lead over Republican challenger Judy Baar Topinka.
The poll released today by the Daily Herald and Chicago's W-L-S T-V shows Blagojevich leading Topinka 48 percent to 32 percent.
Green Party candidate Rich Whitney of Carbondale polled 12 percent and 8 percent of voters were still undecided.
The poll shows Blagojevich leading Topinka in all areas of the state except for central and southern Illinois where she is on top.
The poll of 603 likely voters was done earlier this month.
Election Day is November Seventh.
