More than 3,100 drivers were ticketed during the "Click It or Ticket" campaign. Law enforcement agencies throughout the state stepped up patrols and set up zones for seat belt enforcement.
A total of 3,138 safety belt citations were issued over the Labor Day weekend. Twenty-nine people were arrested for drunk driving. Fifty-two arrests were made for driving on a suspended license.
