Saturday Evening Armed Robberies

By  |

The first incident occurred at Ferri's Market at 1102 Ferguson. That's where a single unidentified suspect used a black handgun to hold up the store. No word yet on what he got away with.

The suspect is described as a 20 or 21-year-old black male, six feet tall and 140 pounds. Witnesses say he was dressed in a black hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.

That suspect is not the same man that robbed the Walgreen's drug store on Auburn several hours later.

Witnesses say a man in a ski mask entered the drug store and threatened the customers. When they refused to hand over their cash, the suspect went for the counter. A rifle was visible inside a garbage bag the robber brought with him. The suspect fled the scene on foot.

Investigators are searching for another black male. He's six feet tall and about one hundred eighty to two hundred pounds. Witnesses say he was dressed in all black.
