With all of the school shootings that have taken place recently, many Stateline residents are wondering if it could happen to us.
If it does, Stateline area law enforcement will be ready to respond. Emergency response personnel gathered at Hononegah High School to test their skills in such a situation. Police and SWAT teams responded to a simulated hostage situation inside the school.
The goal was to work out the kinks in their plan in the event of a real life hostage situation. The drill lasted about four hours and those who participated in it said things ran fairly smoothly.
