They're using a new state law that allows them to pull over and ticket motorists who don't buckle up.

Officers crack down on seat belt violators at more than 100 enforcement zones. Here is how it works; an officer first makes an initial observation.

About a quarter of a mile down the road another officer confirms the violation by approaching the motorist. A site is then set up to enforce various laws. Law enforcement also plans to monitor school zones.

The "Click It or Ticket" program runs for two weeks, ending on Sept. 7.
