For the third straight month home sales in the stateline have disappointed real estate agents and home owners.
In September agents sold about 13% fewer houses than they did at this time last year.
615 homes in Winnebago, Boone and Ogle counties had newly posted sold signs in their front yards last month. Prices are also falling.
Last year the average home sold for nearly 145-thousand dollars. Now homes are selling for about 142-thousand.
