Sunday morning, Loves Park Police responded to a burglary call at Rockford Installation. But once the officers started to investigate, a large quantity of marijuana growing in back room is found.
It looks like greenery, but the plants are worth $1,000 a piece. Loves Park Police were called to Rockford Installation on a burglary call. Employees then checked a shed that’s not a part of the building. A company called Absolute Lawn Care rents out the space.
What the burglar un-locked police to, a room filled with 150 marijuana plants. With lighting that circulates, an irrigation system and reflectors this is one of the most sophisticated set ups police have seen.
The building has been leased for 2 months. So the plants may still be in the early stages. Each plant turns into one pound of high-grade marijuana. Altogether the field of green is worth about $150,000.
