That's the reaction from the Metro Centre Wednesday. The authority finally received state funds that had been promised for nearly a year.
The nearly $4 million couldn't have come at better time. The Metro Center already used more than half of the loan it received from the city.
You might remember last month when Rockford set up a $750,000 line of credit for the authority. Metro Centre executive director Corey Pearson says the state funds will be used to pay down most of that loan, as well as make much needed improvements to the 20-year-old facility.
