Banks Says He Regrets Actions While With Boston Archdiocese

The Massachusetts attorney general released a report Wednesday, detailing his 16-month investigation into the clergy sex abuse scandal there.

Tom Reilly says his office reviewed more than 30-thousand documents, including the personnel files of more than 100 priests and the internal policies of the Boston archdiocese.

A grand jury last summer heard testimony from 31 witnesses, including Banks.

Banks says today that he deeply regrets that he didn't act more decisively in taking abusive priests out of ministry.

He says he wants to assure people that the Green Bay Diocese is taking the issue of child sexual abuse very seriously.
