4 Arrested in Rockford for Burglary

ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- Rockford police arrest four men for allegedly stealing scrap metal from an old school.

Assistant Deputy Chief Patrick Hoey says just after 12:00 p.m. on August 20 officers responded to a burglary in progress at the old Church School at 1419 Blaisdell Street.

When officers got to the scene they detained one suspect in the rear parking lot of the school. Officers set up a perimeter around the building and called for the K-9 officer to search the building. When looking inside they found three suspects hiding on the second floor.

An investigation revealed the suspects entered the school and were removing scrap metal and placing it into a green Chevrolet pick-up truck parked on the west side of the school.

William Breedlove, 20, Rockford Resident- Burglary,
Norman Breedlove, 22, Rockford Resident-Burglary
Edward Mendez, 19, Rockford Resident-Burglary
Dezmond Wilkerson, 21, Rockford Resident-Burglary
