CHICAGO (AP) -- A cargo worker is dead after being crushed between two pieces of equipment at O'Hare International Airport.
Chicago Aviation Department spokeswoman Wendy Abrams says the accident happened late last night. Abrams says he was crushed between the back of a truck and a loaded pallet being lifted by a forklift.
Paramedics rushed him to the hospital, but the Cook County Medical Examiner's office says 38-year-old John Keane of Chicago was pronounced dead a short time later.
The accident remains under investigation.
