CHICAGO (AP) -- A funeral service is planned in Chicago today for six children who were killed in an apartment fire.
Officials believe the blaze was an accident. It was apparently started by a candle the family was using for light. They had been living without electricity since May.
Killed in the September Third fire were siblings Vanessa Ramirez, Erick Ramirez, Suzette Ramirez, Idaly Ramirez and Kevin Ramirez.
The family was babysitting a sixth child -- Escarlet Ramos -- who also died in the blaze. The children ranged in age from three to 14 years old.
The funeral will be held at St. Jerome Catholic Church. Visitation services for the children were held yesterday.
