Most government offices should reopen Monday as McLean County rebounds from a weekend explosion and fire that virtually shuttered its offices in downtown Bloomington.
County Administrator John Zeunik says generators will be used to restore power and that will allow the offices of the county clerk, coroner, sheriff, state's attorney and others to reopen next week.
Zeunik says only the jail and some courts will remain shut out of the county's Law and Justice Center. He says inmates will have to remain in jails in nearby counties and State Farm has donated a Bloomington office for temporary courtrooms.
Zeunik hopes the jail and courtrooms can return within six weeks.
