Just after 10:30 p.m. Friday night a car was heading north on Belden Street in Rockford. The car ended up sideways and crashed right into a tree. Rockford police say speed may have been a factor. Rockford police say speed may have been a factor. 43-year-old Dennis Veitch died at the scene. 26-year-old Bruce Veitch is in serious condition at Rockford Memorial Hospital.
