Twenty-five former high school drop outs celebrated the beginning of a new life today. The students graduated from YouthBuild, a 12-month program that allows students to earn high school diplomas while giving back to the community.
During the program, they were also able to get on the job training in both construction and computer technology. Graduates say the program opened their eyes to a better future.
"Leadership class taught us to set your goals before you go for them. You can't go nowhere if you don't know where you're going," says YouthBuild graduate Kevin Marks.
Several YouthBuild students have already landed jobs in the construction field.
