MACHESNEY PARK, Ill. (AP) -- Authorities in Winnebago County have charged a suburban Chicago man with driving while intoxicated in an accident that killed a 67-year-old Rockford resident.
Police say Robert Goodman and another driver got out of their vehicles after a minor traffic accident last night. That's when a car drove into the scene, pinning Goodman between his pick-up truck and another vehicle.
Goodman was later pronounced dead at O-S-F Saint Anthony Medical Center.
Winnebago County Sheriff officials say 25-year-old Steven Boyer of Bartlett has been charged with aggravated driving under the influence.
