Billy Jack Reed pleaded guilty to killing Bernice and Harold Steiner of Fowler (Illinois) and is awaiting sentencing for the murders.
He's also charged in the July 2001 shooting death of Joyce Boyer of Sutherland, Nebraska.
Today, he ask Nebraska's high court to dismiss those charges because he did not get a speedy trial, but prosecutors in Nebraska argue they did not violate his right to a speedy trial because he was in custody in Illinois at the time.
