Transition Time

U.S. Cellular employees were on hand at Rockford College Saturday. Workers unloaded cars and carried boxes to dorm rooms.

Classes begin on Wednesday, August 23 at Rockford College. When the school year ended in the spring Rockford College went through a huge transition. Former President Paul Pribbenow left and the college began to search for a new leader. Right now the school year will begin under the watch of Interim President Richard Kneedler.

Academics are also driving students to Beloit. Over 350 new students are getting ready to attend Beloit College. The students come from 38 states and 21 countries. Students have a week to get oriented with the campus and the community.

In all, Beloit College will have more than 1,200 students on campus. Everyone will get to know one another at a Welcome Home picnic Monday afternoon. Classes start on the 29th.
