The Belvidere School Board will hear advice Monday night about how the district should handle an exploding student population. The "Vision 100" team is expected to say whether the community would support a tax hike. The group has studied that idea over the past several months. The district has grown nearly 60- percent over the past 10 years. In order to pay for the growth, the board must decide whether to cut jobs or school program or increase revenue in the form of a tax referendum.
