A grand jury indicted five Rockford residents for a housing scam.
The U.S. Attorney's Office says Rhonda Torossian, Cesar Arenas, Nancy Rodriguez, Raul Raygoza and Israel Quitero falsified employment figures, Social Security numbers and credit ratings to secure HUD mortgage loans for their customers.
All five are charged with conspiracy to defraud the government. They're expected to be arraigned on Friday.
