Oregon Community Unit School District #220 is announcing that several significant changes have been made regarding bus transportation for students for the upcoming 2006-07 school year. The changes are listed as follows:
K-6 and 9-12 students living in the village of Mt. Morris will now be picked up and dropped off at neighborhood bus stops before and after school. These students will no longer board shuttle buses at DLR Black Hawk Jr. High School. Instead, the respective neighborhood bus will take students directly to and from Oregon Elementary School and Oregon High School daily.
(For 9th and 10th grade students whose school day starts 2nd hour at OHS, there will still be a OHS shuttle that leaves from DLR BHJH at 8:45 a.m.)
Mt. Morris bus stop locations will be posted at registration on Monday, August 7 and are also available at the district website www.ocusd.net. At registration, parents should stop by the transportation table for further information regarding bus number and times.
7th and 8th grade students living in the city of Oregon who attend DLR Black Hawk Junior High in Mt. Morris will now be picked up at neighborhood bus stops in Oregon and transported to the junior high school in Mt. Morris. These students will no longer board shuttle buses at Oregon Elementary School. Instead, buses will take students directly to and from DLR Black Hawk Jr. High each day
Bus information & pickup locations for these 7th & 8th grade students will be available at registration on Monday, August 7 and are also available at www.ocusd.net. At registration, parents/students should stop by the transportation table for individual information regarding bus number and times.
Other bus routes (Mt. Morris rural, Oregon rural, hazardous areas) will remain generally the same as in previous years. It is required that parents of students who will be using district transportation visit the transportation table at registration at the Black Hawk Center on Monday, August 7. Specific information for individual students will be available at that time.
