The family of dog attack victim Marco Washington has been waiting for someone to be deemed responsible for the dog that bit Marco.
As 23 news told you Friday, charges have been filed against James Moore. But that comes on the heels of finding out Marco suffered brain damage when he ran into a car trying to escape the dog.
Several people came out to Andrews Park on Saturday to let dog attack victim, Marco Washington and his family that they will not have to face the financial burdens alone.
The medical bills are coming faster than Marco's family can keep up with. Right now they’re sitting on 94,000-dollar hospital bill, which doesn’t include the most recent costs from Marco’s Rehab at VanMatre.
To help ease the financial strain, City Alderman Richard Goral organized a fundraiser in which there were prizes and live entertainment all to help raise donation money.
