United Recalls 1,500 Flight Attendants in June

Thursday’s recall comes as United announced that it is restoring 162 daily flights next month that had been cut due to a drop in demand during the Iraq war.

United says its seen a recent improvement in bookings.

The airline confirms that it is asking the flight attendants to come back but declined to discuss other job-related details.

The nation's Number Two airline is restructuring in Chapter Eleven bankruptcy.

It will now operate 1,722 daily flights in June, up from 1,560 in May.

The restored flights are to domestic, European and Pacific destinations
