We've seen them on TV and in commercials, but this weekend the world famous Clydesdales made a stop in the Stateline. The eight horse hitch was harnessed and hitched to the famous red beer wagon for a stroll through downtown Freeport Saturday afternoon.
The Clydesdales appearance in Freeport is one of 300 they make each year. Thousands of residents lined the streets for a chance to see these stars. The visit is in order to celebrate 50 years of local Anheiser Bush distributor, LRB.
David Cain, General Manager of LRB, says, “Freeport is a new market for us. We've only been here a couple of years, so it's a major market and we decided it would be a good opportunity because we've never been to Freeport in the past. "
The Clydesdales made a stop in Dixon on Sunday.
