We now know the name of the man run-over by two different cars yesterday morning. The Stephenson County Coroner says 49-year-old Jeffrey Hammer of Shannon died from multiple chest and abdominal injuries. Sheriff's Deputies say Hammer was walking south near the intersection of Bolton and Hirshey roads in Stephenson County, when he was struck by a northbound car. That driver sped off. Then another northbound car ran over him as well. Detectives are still looking for that first driver.
