Southern Skyways, Denver Flights Leaving RFD
It's getting harder for passengers to fly out of the Rockford airport, as RFD sheds another destination Wednesday. Local travelers are disappointed Southern Skyways is leaving Rockford and taking away the last option for flying to Denver.

Ashame to see yet another airline bail on RFD. We recently flew to Orlando from RFD and can honestly say, it was one of the best flight experiences I have had in quite a number of years. As a native of the Chicagoland area, many friends and family I talk to would not consider RFD because of added travel times. To all local stateliners, if your travel plans call for Orlando or Vegas, be sure to support RFD. You wont be sorry!

Perhaps the airlines or the airport should do more promotion of the flights available. Many, like myself, may not have been aware they could go direct to Denver from Rockford.
