Once lost, now found. A dog is reunited with it's family five years after going astray. The family is from the Chicago suburb of Arlington Heights and Tuesday they reclaimed their pet from the Winnebago County Animal Shelter.

Bo, is now known as the miracle dog. Brent Moeller was 16 years old when his dog went missing so to be reunited five years later is like a dream come true. Moeller described it as, "One of the best days of my life."

A resident on 9th St. in Rockford found Bo roaming around the neighborhood last night and called the Animal Shelter . They picked up the dog, scanned his chip, and notified the Moellers. Bob Moeller, the father, says this has restored his faith. "I do have faith and I do believe God answers prayers."

The family believes Bo was stolen and remember the painful search, all the fliers posted, even the one false alarm. "A year later we got a call from the police department saying they found him, we got so excited but when we got there it was a different dog".

But not this time and the family says there's no denying that this is the happy, friendly Bo they remember.

The family says Bo will live like a king for the rest of his life.

I watched the video several times and am so happy for the family that they found their beloved Bo. I've lost a dog before, and unfortunately years before the microchip was invented. This reminds me of one of the "Lassie" stories! God was watching over you.
