Yesterday we told you about a possibly abandoned dog. Amanda Washburn moved out of her apartment over the weekend and on Monday and Tuesday one of her neighbors reported hearing a dog barking incessantly in her apartment. This led to suspicions of Amanda abandoning her dog and leaving it to die. 23 News went to the apartment and knocked on the door with Winnebago County Animal Control yesterday but failed to hear anything inside. So the animal was either in distress or not in there at all. 23 News received word today from Amanda who saw the story and she says she took the dog out on July 7. So we are happy to report that the dog is all right.

2nd...i Never called the police on Amanda and claimed she was being held hostage?!...so im not sure why she is making these stories up. We are quiet people and mind our own business...I was just concerned about a barking dog.

I am the lady from apartment C....My name is Dawn, and I will clear this up right now before anymore LIES or accusations are made against me. 1st off...all i did was phone Mark the lanlord of River District Apartments to notify him that i heard a dog upstairs continuously barking and loud music, and that i thought that lady had moved out, they said they would look into it. Next thing i know is I get a phone call while i was pulling into work telling me that the news was going to be there to do a report...i let Mark know that i was angered by this and that i want nothing to do with this. They also gave my # to the news station which i had called Mark to complain about because THE ONLY THING I CALLED ABOUT WAS A DOG BARKING...i never said a dog was dieing and in distress to call the news station and a make a huge deal out of it...THE LANLORD was suppose to look into it.River District Apartments called the news and made this story for them...so lets get that straight

I am happy to report that my Fat Man is alright. He was never abandoned or left left at the old house.I love my Fat Man very much and I am glad that we got out of that terrible environment this is the second attack made towards me, last week the same people called and said that I was being held hostage in my home when the police arrived I was already gone for work. They entered my home with no warrant and made my boyfriend who was not a resident leave and they also made him leave my house keys in the apartment that they locked. Making it impossible for me to enter the apartment. If anybody should be being looked at it should be the River District Apartments for way they do business and the lady in apartment C at 1725 11th st for filing 2 false reports against me. My Fat Man is my life and I would never do anything to put him in harms way. Fat Man is the only friend I have. But I am in the process of filing restraining orders as well as seeing about pressing charges against these people.
