An Illinois Agency was in Machesney Park today getting the word out about a public assistance program. While dozens of residents got hit hard by recent flooding so did some of our government agencies and recreational areas.
IEMA held two meetings letting local jurisdictions know they might qualify for federal assistance. While there is funding out there for individuals. IEMA focused today on public assistance for Winnebago County.
So far only 8 applications have been filled out, agencies have until August 2nd to do so.
