No Serious Injuries Reported From Overnight Violence In Rockford

A shooting and two home invasions have kept Rockford Police on their toes. The shooting happened at around 6 o'clock last night in the 900 block of Acorn Street. Police say multiple gunshots were fired... but nobody was hit. Police have arrested two men and are looking for two more. Demetrius Thompson and Orlando Manley... both of Rockford... are charged with felony charges of aggravated unlawful use of a firearm. Thompson is also charged with aggravated discharge of a firearm.

The first home invasion happened just before 11 last night in the 11-hundred block of Irving Avenue. Police say two men wearing black ski masks and armed with guns forced their way into a house and demanded money. It's unknown whether they got away with anything when they fled.

A second home invasion occurred in the 1500 block of Tacoma around 11:15 p.m. Police say two masked men with handguns forced their way in a house as the victims arrived home. They demanded money and got away on foot with 40 dollars. Nobody was seriously injured in any of these incidents.
