Rochelle Man Sentenced to Eight Years in Prison Save Email Print

The Ogle County State's Attorney announced that 23 year-old Jonathan Martinez of Rochelle was sentenced to eight years in prison.
Martinez plead guilty to two seperate counts of the Class 4 offense of Felony Domestic Battery and one count of the Class 1 felony offense of Attempt Home Invasion.
Martinez was arrested by Rochelle Police officers in September of 2006 and January of 2007 for Felony Domestic Battery. Then in July of 2007, Martinez was arrested for Home Invasion, Unlawful Restraint, and Domestic Battery. Martinez has remained in custody of the Ogle County Jail in lieu of bail. He will receive credit for time served in the Ogle County Jail and will be required to remain on parole for 2 years after his release from prison.
